Emily Clarice Jacobson who was born in Clearbrook, raised in the Clearbrook and Puposky area, passed away April 8, 2021 at age 92. (would have been 93 in several days) She was a cancer survivor from the 1980’s.
Emily spent her marriage of 66 years along with her husband farming the original family homestead in Liberty Township. Before marriage, she spent a lot of her time with a good friend whose husband was in the war, raising her 2 little boys. She also did babysitting for several neighbors regularly, and also worked at the Lake Julia Sanatorium. Being a homemaker, she took great pride in her flower gardens, was a great baker of breads and donuts and always made a perfect angel food from scratch. With a garden of raspberry plants, sold raspberries for several years. When fall came, she enjoyed picking pinecones to sell. After the farming years, she later raised chickens which developed quite a list of people wanting fresh eggs which turned into a weekly egg route, gaining many lasting friendships. After retirement they were able to take a trip of a lifetime to Norway thankfully Emily could read, write and speak Norwegian. In her retirement years, she worked hard on the family tree, collecting old photos and researching genealogic history. Due to a fall, she entered assisted living in 2018. Always having a good connection with family, nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She surely will be missed.
She was preceded in death by parents, brothers, Melvin and Olvin and sister, June.
She is survived by brother, Jerome Juve; sisters, Alva Drusch and Lola Stephens and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Cornerstone in Bagley for her loving care.
