Edwina "Eddie" Elizabeth (Cronk) Batchelder

Edwina “Eddie” Elizabeth (Cronk) Batchelder 97, of Bemidji, MN passed away May 2, 2024.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.

Eddie was born in Tenstike, MN to Edward and Lydia (Goudge) Cronk on August 13, 1926. She grew up in Tenstrike and graduated from Blackduck High School. After graduating high school, Eddie attended French’s Business College in Bemidji and began her career at the Bemidji Woolen Mills. On February 25, 1959, Eddie was united in marriage with Ira Batchelder Sr.

Eddie and Ira spent many happy years together. After Ira passed, Eddie continued her adventures in Neveda and Arizona before returning to Bemidji. Eddie enjoyed traveling, an occasional casino visit, and most of all family gatherings.

Eddie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings Fern Kruger, Marguerite Kruger, Mary Ann Benson, Edward Cronk Jr., and Bud Cronk, and Ira’s children Ira Batchelder Jr, Ron Batchelder, and Joy Albers. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, their extended families, and the Batchelder and Albers extended families.

The family wants to thank the kind and compassionate staff at Goldpine Home for their loving care.

Memorials are preferred to the Tenstrike Community Church.
