Douglas Charles Day Jr. entered the world on December 8, 1973 in Bemidji and into his parents arms on March 4, 2025.

In his younger years, Doug enjoyed dirt bikes and motorcycles. He also was a stock car driver. He enjoyed fixing and repairing cars. Doug worked at Cedar Lakes Casino as a cook. He enjoyed having a good time and meeting new people. It didn’t matter where he went, he always made new friends.

Doug had a big heart and helped out everyone he could even if they were strangers. He was a very hard worker and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed playing pool and listening to music. Doug also helped raise many children and loved every one of them. He considered all of them as his own.

Those are greeting him in the spirit world are his father, Douglas Charles Day, Sr., his mother, Maxine (Maggie) Joyce Day, paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents and uncles, Melvin Dick, Joe Dick, Tony Dick and Arnie Dick.

Those left behind to mourn are his favorite auntie, Bonne DeWeaver and aunt, Elaine Gotchie, many other cousins and relatives, his life partner, Samantha Neisen and the children they are raising, Tyrell Losh, Jacob Budreau Jr., Laniah Budreau, Aurianna Budreau, Jai`Ceon White and Adrianna Howard-White. He also claimed Jeremy Ince as his brother-in-law and Marlyce Bellanger as his mother-in-law. He also leaves behind a long time friend, Dori Wittner and the children he helped raise, Jeannie Wittner, Leah Wittner, April Burnette, Steve White, Erica White, Steve O’Brien, Stephanie O’Brien, Ramona White, Carlos White, LaTerrance Castor and Joseph White.

Memorial Gathering will be at the Veteran’s Building in Cass Lake from 4-6 pm on Monday, March 10, 2025.
