Douglas Bock

Douglas Donald Bock, 53, Bemidji, MN, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND surrounded by his family.

Memorial services will 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wentzel officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place immediately following the service at Turtle Lake Township Cemetery on Puposky Rd.  A celebration of life will follow at 14829 Puposky Rd NW.

Doug was born on August 6, 1964 in Bemidji, MN to Donald and Jennifer Bock.  He attended Bemidji High School.  He then attended Staples Technical College and obtained a diploma in heavy equipment operation.  He worked in road and telecommunications construction.

Doug was an avid outdoorsman.  His greatest loves were family, friends and fishing.  He especially enjoyed camping and fishing at Voyageuer’s National Park.  He would spend hours looking out over Lake Kabetogama from camp.  He and his buddy Moose spent endless hours in the boat.  His big smile and big heart will be remembered by all.

He is survived by his parents, Donald and Jennifer Bock (Bemidji, MN), his brothers Shayne and Deb Bock (Puposky, MN), Steven and Christine Bock (Cimarron, KS), Darren and Marie Bock (Bemidji, MN), Nathan and Shauna Bock (Mounds View, MN) and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Arnie and Flora Bock and Ole and Elda Olander.
