Doris ilene (Bishop) Van Hale

Doris Van Hale, age 93, of Bemidji, MN died Thursday, December 18, 2025 at her home.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment is in Frohn Eastside Cemetery, Bemidji.

Doris Ilene Van Hale was born December 7, 1932 in Duff, NE to Fred and Ida (Lesher) Bishop. She lived life to the fullest. She worked for Holsum bread store for 22 years. Doris enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting and a good game of cards. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. She was kind, thoughtful and enjoyed being around people.

She is survived by sons, Rick (LaVonna) Shank, Gillette, WY and Don (Vickie) Shank Rogers, MN; daughter, Lillian Horn, Medical Lake, WA; stepsons, Jerry (Jackie) Van Hale, Philippines, Richard Van Hale, Big Falls, MN; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Van Hale; daughter Cindy Van Hale and 6 siblings.
