Donna Mae Bratlien

Donna Mae Bratlien, 95, of Bemidji, MN died Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Tamarack Court, Bemidji.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2022 at First Lutheran Church, Bemidji. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.

Donna Mae (Shofner) was born August 21, 1926 in Bemidji Minnesota, the 4th child of EE and Vinnie Shofner. She graduated from Bemidji High School in 1944. She married Donald Bratlien of Shevlin in 1946. They lived their life in the Bemidji and Bagley area raising their 2 children. She especially loved children; grandkids and great grandkids; nieces and nephews. We are sure she is enjoying flowers in heaven.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Garvey (James) and Michael (Sheralyn Froyd); sister, Phyllis Jones of Bemidji; grandsons John (Molly) and Paul (Jeanne);

5 great-grandchildren, Emmet and Will of Glenview IL and Julianne, Charlotte, Adeline of Highands Ranch CO.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald, her parents Ernest and Vinnie Shofner; brothers Keith, Donald and Russell; and  sister Jeanne.

Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church, Bemidji and American Heart Association.
