David K. Allen, 86, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, November 23, 2020 at his home.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Guthrie Cemetery. Masks are required due to the COVID-19.
David Keehr Allen was born November 7, 1934 in Rockwood Township, MN to Lyle and Irene (Keehr) Allen. He grew up in Guthrie and moved to Bemidji in 1953. David served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. On September 5, 1959 he married Joan Langerak in Bemidji and in 1976 they moved to Guthrie. David worked for MnDot as a Senior Hwy Tech. In 2015 they moved into Bemidji. He enjoyed hunting deer and grouse.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Stuart Allen, Grant Allen and Winston Allen; one granddaughter, Sarah Allen and one great-grandson Payton Wise.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mark Allen in 2001.
Memorials are preferred to Bemidji Senior Center, Great River Rescue or the donors choice.
