Dale Kenneth Kuchenmeister

Dale Kenneth Kuchenmeister, age 73, of Bemidji, MN passed away November 21, 2024.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life is scheduled for June 7, 2025 with a ride around Lake Bemidji starting at the lake front at about 12 p.m. ending up at Dusty and Tracy Desrosier’s home at 6502 Irvine Ave. NW for a pig roast, stories and fun.

Born July 30, 1951, Dale lived a vibrant life marked by his devotion to his family, his country and his passions. Dale graduated from St. Cloud Tech in 1969 and embarked on a notable military career, serving in the Air Force from March 1970 to October 1990. His service took him across the globe including Korea, Duluth AFB, MN, Kapaun AFS, Germany and Grand Forks AFB, ND. While stationed at Grand Forks AFB Dale played hockey for the AFB military team and continued his love for the sport in the Bemidji City League. Following his military career, Dale worked for Sears, Medi-Van, and Walmart of Bemidji.

Dale is survived by his wife, Mickie of 50 years; son, Troy (Tiffany) Kuchenmeister; daughter Dusty (Tracy) Desrosier; 9 grandsons, Tanner Gould, Noah Olson, Tyler Kuchenmeister, Codie Desrosier, Isaiah Reed, Demonte Desrosier, Dusten Kuchenmeister, Benjermen Desrosier, Jonathan Kuchenmeister and 1 granddaughter, Victoria (Austin) Kuchenmeister. He also leaves a sister, Judy (John) Ludwig; brother, Kenneth Kuchenmeister; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Jody) Ehlers and several nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund (mosey) and Rita Kuchenmeister and his in laws, Harold and Shirley South.
