Crystal Gayle (Lesetmoe) Shepard

Crystal Shepard, 45, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Bemidji. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Crystal was born in Bemidji on October 25th, 1977, to Lyle and Patricia Lesetmoe. She was raised in the Nymore area and attended school in Bemidji. In high school, she was involved with the football and wrestling teams, weightlifting, and playing softball. As a child, she enjoyed fishing, helped in the family garden, hauled firewood, and often babysat her younger siblings. She also helped in her father's autobody shop.

In 1996 she married Brent Sorensen. They had two children together. In 2010 she then married the love of her life, William Shepard. They conceived & sadly lost their baby (Ireland) and went on to honor her by living a full, adventurous life together.

Over the years she had many business adventures. Primarily Victory Riding School, Willstar Riding Academy and Tac store, and breeding her beloved Corgis. She also attended online schooling and ran Beltrami Recycling with her husband, Will.

She always had a great love for animals, especially her horse Pumpkin and her Corgi Nugget. She loved to travel. She delivered Corgi puppies all over the United States & loved vacationing with her husband Will, family, and friends any chance she got. Her favorite places were Florida and Arizona. She had a kind, giving heart, loved children, and made many lifetime friends. She had a bold, extroverted personality and She lived a busy, fulfilling, happy life. She did more in her 45 years than most do in a lifetime.

She is survived by her husband William Shepard. Daughter Sydney Shepard (with Kevin Carlson), son Wyatt Sorensen, mother Patricia Lesetmoe, sister Heidi Lesetmoe (with Cody Pederson), brothers Lyle K. Lesetmoe, and Brian Lesetmoe (with Tonia Eglinton). Sister-in-laws Melissa Shepard, and Michaelle & Dan White. Aunts and uncles, Tamera “Boo-boo” Lesetmoe, Dirk & Sandra Beer, Luke Beer, and Butch Beer. Nieces and nephews Mallory Lesetmoe (with Nick Meyer), Lauren & Indy Keller, Addison “Baby kid” Pederson, Amy & Eric Evenski, Evan Lesetmoe, Kayleb Shepard, and David & Amanda White. Her special extra kids, Liam Nelson, Wyatt Vold, and Jessica “The red-headed stepchild”. Special friends Jennifer Bode, Diana Liedtke-Thorpe, Christy Timlin, Jeannie Skaar, Jenelle Haugan, Kate Riggs, and Tracy Ashman.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Ireland Shepard, father Lyle D. Lesetmoe, grandparents, Lyle & Shirley Lesetmoe, and Norman & Edna Beer. Aunts and uncles Jeannie Jordet, Norma Beer, Tom Lesetmoe, Richard Lesetmoe, and Gary Risland.

She will be deeply missed by all of her loved ones.
