Craig Harvey, 51, of Lake George, MN died Sunday, May 8, 2022 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lake George. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be Lake George Cemetery.
Craig Steven Harvey was born October 17, 1970 in Bemidji to Robert and Joyce Harvey. Craig grew up in Lake George and graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1989. He attended Northwest Technical College for a few months, but then went to work for Palace Casino in Cass Lake as a blackjack dealer and worked his way up to shift supervisor at the time of his death. Craig was involved in the Lake George Fire Department and First Responders, Bemidji Elks Club where he was the Exalted Ruler and currently its treasurer, and Bemidji Jaycees. He loved watching all of Minnesota sports teams, both professional and collegiate. Craig also enjoyed following his nieces and nephews in their athletics. They held a special place in his heart as he had no children of his own. He loved to deer hunt and play card games.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Harvey; brothers, Mike Harvey, Richard (Caryn) Harvey and Joel (Ruby Campbell) Harvey; Nieces, Taylor Harvey and Natalie Harvey; nephews, Sawyer Harvey, Tristan Harvey and Nicholas Harvey; aunts, Shirley Zubke and Valerie (Colin) Speakman and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; infant brother, Jason; grandparents, Esther and Jerome Harvey and Jessie and Charles Galliers; aunt and uncle Gerald and Barbara Harvey and uncle Lyle Zubke.
