Courtney Ann Magnuson

Courtney Magnuson, 37, of Bemidji, passed away unexpectedly at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, on January 19, 2024, after a brief illness.

She was born and raised in Bemidji, MN to John and Laura Magnuson of Bemidji. From day one she kept everyone on their toes with her sarcastic and witty personality. She befriended all she encountered, young or old, human or animal. She was always up for a good joke, and would often torment her family, calling them frequently with a new one-liner that would inevitably take much longer than it should, as she could not control her laughter. She loved spending time with her family, especially her nephews, cuddling her pets, watching The Office, gardening, or just being outdoors.

Courtney is survived by her long-time love, Logan Hjermstad, his children Cypren and Athina, her two cats and two dogs. her parents, John and Laura Magnuson, sister Jessie Maher (Teochen Cloud), nephews Shay & Evan, brother Matthew Magnuson (Steph Marsh), and Grandma Donna Froyd.

"If any of you cry at my funeral, I'm never speaking to you again”.

Per Courtney’s wishes, there will be a private ceremony held at a later date.
