Connie Lou (Grimsley) Grimsley

Connie Grimsley, 73, of Bemidji, MN died Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Neilson Place, Bemidji.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Bemidji.

Connie Lou Grimsley was born August 29, 1948 in St. Cloud, MN to Everett and Viola Grimsley. As a young girl her family moved to Bemidji. She married Michael Schussman in January 1965 in Bemidji. She spent those formidable years raising her three children. She also cared for her twin sisters daughter, Bille Jean Strowbridge from 1992 to 1999. Connie worked at  Holiday Inn, Wilton Liquor Store, Solway Bar and Beltrami County as a housekeeper. Connie spent most of her life taking care of her loved ones instead of herself.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Lu) Schussman, Tim (Stacy) Schussman and Jennifer (Lars) Bode all of Bemidji; grandchildren, Steven (Bridget) Schussman, Kayla (Josh) Burgoon, LeAnne (Ben) Schussman, Brett Schussman, Alex Schussman, Annah (Boden Bratley) Schussman, Jeff Bode and Kaylee Bode; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Merlin (Cookie) Grimsley, Jerry (Geraldine) Grimsley, Judith Leeper, Robert (Meg) Grimsley, Neil (Sue) Grimsley, Ricky (Mary Jo) Grimsley and Danny (Peggy) Grimsley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Bonnie Miller and brothers-in-law, Mitch Miller and Larry Leeper; niece, Billie Jean Strowbridge and nephew, Jesse Grimsley.
