Cassie Langhout, 52, Bemidji, Minn., died Tuesday, May 28, at her home surrounded by her family.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 15th 2024, at the Helga Community Center/Nary Heritage Park from 1-5pm.
Cassie was born in Athens, Ohio on May 13th, 1972 to Russel (Bennett) and Mary (George). Cassie grew up just North of Bemidji, MN, and attended Bemidji High School, graduating in the class of 1990. Cassie met her husband, Tom Langhout, and they were married on March 11th, 1995. She and Tom had 3 Children, Kyle, Gavin, and Jaisa. She worked as a Court Reporter for Beltrami County for many years. Cassie loved spending time with her family outdoors. Her favorite activities included camping, pontooning, hiking, shopping for anything and everything sparkly, sipping sweet red wine, and spending time with her Grand-pups and new Grandson. Cassie was a tremendous wife and mother. She was the heart of her family, always organizing, planning, and making sure her home and everything she owned was well cared for and cleaned spotless for her loved ones. She loved being silly and dancing to any upbeat music. She had a contagious spunk about her that could warm up a room and make anyone smile. Cassie was exceptionally courageous, brave, tough, and had a strong heart full of unshakable faith and love. She was and always will be irreplaceable in many ways.
Cassie is survived by her husband, Tom Langhout; kids, Kyle (Brianna) Langhout, Gavin (Ali) Langhout and Jaisa (Blake Moren) Langhout; grandson, Jack Langhout; mom and step-dad, Mary (Dave) George; sister, Libby (Scott) Fadness and family and brother, Lou (Jami) Bennett and family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Russ Bennett.
