Carol Jean Blair, of Bemidji, at age 90, passed away peacefully under the direction of Hospice Care on Monday, May 9th in her daughters home where she had resided for the last 16 months.
Carol was born February 29, 1932 in Crookston MN, the daughter of William & Lillian Brooks. She attended both grade school and High School in Crookston. She married Elmer Drellack in December of 1951 in Crookston, MN. They had three children, David, Donna and Don. They later divorced. She married Bob Blair on September 16, 1985 in Winchester, VA. Because of Bob’s job, they ended up in Tualatin OR, where they lived until Bob’s passing in November, 2020.
Carol enjoyed playing bingo, putting puzzles together, playing solitaire and watching Westerns. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and collecting Elvis and The Royal Family collectibles.
Carol is survived by her children, David (Charlene) Drellack of Mesa, AZ; Donna (Ron) Arel of Bemidji, MN; Don (Ann) Drellack of Bagley, MN; Bob’s three adult children: Debi Blair of Omak, WA; Don (Sandy) Blair of Maui, HI; DeeAnn (Doug) Bohn of Hood River, OR; 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Brooks, sister Lois Brooks, and her husband of 35 years Bob Blair.
