Carl Arthur Nipp, 84, of Nebish, MN died Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Neilson Place, Bemidji.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Nebish with Fr. John Christianson officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2020 at St. John’s Catholic Church and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
Carl was born on April 2, 1936 to Joseph and Mina Nipp in Nebish Minnesota. He graduated from Blackduck High School. He served the military from 1957-1960 as military police. In 1961 he married, and they had two sons.
Carl was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, and special friend. He was a beef cattle farmer his whole life. He worked for the Blackduck Ready Mix for many years. He was the O’Brien Township supervisor for many years. Carl was a member of the Knight of Columbus and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Carl enjoyed social gatherings and he loved to dance at the Eagles on Friday nights.
Carl is survived by his sons, Douglas (Leah) Nipp, Michael Nipp, Grandchildren, Erika (Tyler) Charlton, Alyssa (Taylor) Mickalson, Krista (Garrett) Nipp-Rudolph, Alex Nipp and great grandchild Elias. He is also survived by his special friend Arlyce Sipe, his brother Alfred Nipp and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Joseph Nipp, sisters Mary Ann Puschinsky, Nora Finberg and his parents. Honorary pallbearers are his granddaughters, and Terry Lyle and Vicky Parsons.
