Barry Douglas Tischman

Barry Tishman 52, passed away June 4th, 2024 due to natural causes at Fair Oaks Lodge Nursing Facility in Wadena, MN.

A Celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 at the Calvery Chapel of Bemidji June 15th 2024. Inurnment will be at Calvary Lutheran Cemetery.

Barry was born March 1st, 1972 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Doug and Patricia (Johnson) Tischman. Barry enjoyed working at the Grand Casino in Mille Lacs as a coin collector for 11 years.  He married Sonia Erickson June 23rd, 2012. They were married for 12 years before his passing.  He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors when possible. Most of his time was spent with family, and caring for his pets, Gizmo, Wyatt Earp, Cody, Harley, Rocky, Smokey, Stella, and Cali.

Barry is survived by his wife Sonia of Bemidji, brother Jamie Tischman (Ben) of Bemidji, sister Angela Tischman of Bemidji, and many nieces and nephew.  Survivors also include uncle Virgil Johnson, aunts Jackie Welch, Wanda Baumgartner (John), Colleen Hill- Kjos (Roger), Rosemary Denault (Tischman) and great aunt Brenda Strowbridge.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and many other extended family members.
