Barbara Jean (Vesely) Speck

Barbara Speck, 77, of Bemidji, MN died Friday, July 31, 2020 at her home.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji with Rev. Robert Wentzel officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Frohn Eastside Cemetery.

Barbara Jean Vesely was born May 15, 1943 to Aline Vesely and Frank Vesely Jr. in Bemidji, MN. She attended Bemidji High School and graduated from Duluth School of Cosmetology. She married Richard E. Speck February 3, 1962. They farmed East of Bemidji where they raised their 4 sons. She worked at North Country Regional Hospital for 24 years. The last several years she got into quilting. Many of the quilts were comfort quilts and for church graduates and friends.

She is survived by sons, Allan, Dean, Rodney and Dennis; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also 3 sisters, LaVerle, Millie and Vivian.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard E.
