Audrey Jo (Wangen) Cash

Audrey (Wangen) Cash died at Cornerstone Nursing Home in Bagley, MN due to complications with a long courageous battle with Diabetes, on February 5, 2025.

She was born in Grand Forks, ND on May 24,1952 to the parents of Osborne & Eva (Leach) Wangen of Michigan, ND. She graduated from High School, Petersburg, ND and went on to graduate from the Hair Academy in Grand Forks, ND. She worked as a hairstylist overall for 50+ years with many Grand Forks Hair Salons, as an Owner/Operator in Minot, ND and a Hair Salon in Bemidji, MN until retirement. She met her loving husband, Tim Cash and they were married on June 5th, 1981 at Mendenhall Presbyterian Church in East Grand Forks, MN. They made their initial home in the Grand Forks, ND /East Grand Forks, MN area until they decided to move west to Minot, ND where they lived for 10+ years. While living in Minot – Audrey successfully opened and operated two Salons (known as Thrifty Cut) and enjoyed the opportunity to work with several employees that she loved and considered her friends for life. Also, while living in Minot, Audrey and her husband became the proud parents of their children Jay Preston and Tyler Lee. They were the most precious joy of her life and made her a mom which was the best “JOB” she ever had. Due to their newly busy family, Tim and Audrey decided to move back to the East Grand Forks area to be closer to family, and then moved on to Bemidji, MN where they had made their home. Audrey became a grandmother to her grandson Clayton Cash (Parents: Tyler & McKenzie Paulson) which was one of the greatest joys prior to her passing. Her Hobbies consisted of: Gardening and more Gardening; Crafts and always opening her home to Bible studies and sharing Gods word with many. She was a member of Real Life Christian Fellowship church in Bemidji, MN.

Surviving Family members include: Mary Ann Nauman (Sister); Kathy Wangen (Sister); Patrica (Neal) Trautman; Family members who have passed: Her parents (Osborne & Eva); Jerry Wangen (Brother); Annette Wangen (Sister).

Celebration of Life/Funeral Arrangements are as follows: Funeral will be held at Real Life Christian Fellowship church located at: 5097 Scribner Road, Bemidji, MN 56601, on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place in the spring, in Michigan, ND.
