Arlene D. Hess

Arlene Hess, 95, passed away on August 21, 2022.

Private burial will be held.

Arlene was born in Guthrie, MN on April 24, 1927, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Jenson) Hess.  She spent her childhood in Guthrie, and graduated from Bemidji High School and Bemidji state Teachers College. For the majority of her adult years, she lived in Golden Valley, MN and taught elementary school in the Minneapolis and Robbinsdale area.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Allen.

She is survived by nieces and nephews in the Bemidji and Guthrie area.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise for the excellent care they have provided to Arlene.

A special thank you also to Tracee Meldrum, who ensured her well being for the last 18 months.

Arlene was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt, as well as a life-long educator, world traveler, talented artist and musician.

Rest in peace dear Arlene – until we meet again.
