Richard Dean Howe

Richard Dean Howe Sr., age 67 of Bemidji, Minnesota died Sunday November 5, 2017 in Koochiching County, Minnesota.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating.  Family will greet friends for one hour before the service at the Funeral Home.

Richard Dean Howe Sr. was born March 1, 1950 in Maysville, Kentucky to James & Ann Lois (Prathen) Howe Jr. Richard Howe Sr. loved his family and anyone that got to know him. He enjoyed sports and played  basketball as a kid and slow pitch softball and bowling  as a adult. He coached Jr. bowling on Saturdays. He also enjoyed being outdoors and travel. Richard was always there to help anyone that needed help.  

As we look back over time
We find ourselves wondering …..
Did we remember to thank you enough
For all you have done for us?
For all the times you were by our sides
To help and support us …..
To celebrate our successes
To understand our problems
And accept our defeats?
Or for teaching us by your example,
The value of hard work, good judgment,
Courage and integrity?
We wonder if we ever thanked you
For the sacrifices you made.
To let us have the very best?
And for the simple things
Like laughter, smiles and times we shared?
If we have forgotten to show our
Gratitude enough for all the things you did,
We’re thanking you now.
And we are hoping you knew all along,
How much you meant to us.

Survived by daughter, Jamie (Steve) Beauchene, Bemidji; sons, Richard Howe Jr., Bemidji & Eric Howe, Bemidji; 3 Grandchildren, Ashley Beauchene, Jerric Kingbird-Howe & Jazlyn Kingbird-Howe; brothers, Tommy (Michelle) Howe, Decatur, IN; Tracy (Kathy) Howe, Romeaville, IL, Mike (Robbie) Howe, Phoenix, AZ and Danny (Annette) Howe, San Antonio, TX.

Preceded in death by parents, James & Ann Howe, wife, Joyce Howe and brothers, Jimmy Howe and Bobby Howe.
