My parents, Melvin and Leona Hamnes, were some of the original settlers with your Grandpa and Grandma, Ole and Betsy Dahl at Gonvick. I have known your mother and her sisters and brothers as long as I can remember and I was a classmate of Doris. Phyllis was always smiley and glad to see anyone from Gonvick. May she rest in Peace.

Phyllis was a wonderful woman full of warmth and wit. I have such fond memories of her from the times we spent with her at the cabin on Pine Lake. She loved to play cards and she had the best laugh. I loved her dearly and am very sorry for your loss. She will be greatly missed.
