Pauline Huewe, 103, of Laporte, MN died Monday, March 11, 2019 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2019 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Bemidji with Fr. Chuck Huck officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the spring in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Wilton. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.
Pauline Katherine Klasen was born October 1, 1915 in Buckman, MN to Herman and Mary Klasen. As a young girl, Pauline’s family moved to the Puposky area. On May 23, 1935 she married Hubert Huewe in Bemidji. Pauline would reside most of her life in the Puposky area. She worked as a cook at the Highway Host and Colonial Kitchen. Pauline would become a senior companion working first in Bemidji and then Walker until she was 90 years old. Pauline truly loved working with and caring for people. She also enjoyed gardening, baking and crocheting.
She is survived by daughter, Carol (Dale) Buness of Laporte; brother, Donald Klasen of Walnut Ridge, AR; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hubert; children, Norbert, Richard, David and Joann; 13 brothers and sisters; granddaughters, Julie, Heidi and Beverly and great-great-grandson, Quinton.
