Norma Elaine Stebe, 88, of Bemidji died on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 surrounded by family at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Memorial Services will be Friday, December 28, 2018, at 10:30 am at Olson Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating. A Time of Sharing will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Honorary urn bearers are her ten great-grandchildren: Cole Otte, Jessica Johnson, Adelynn Lundberg, Ava Diekmann, Samantha Johnson, Michael Diekmann, Ella Stebe, Elsa Lundberg, Connor Stebe and Gage Stebe. Active urn bearers are her five grandchildren: Jodi Otte, Jackie Diekmann, Staci Lundberg, Janna Johnson and Jason Stebe.
Norma was born March 24, 1930, to Mary and Rudolph Hansey. She grew up in Cass Lake, Minnesota and graduated from Cass Lake High School in 1948. She graduated from the Northern Business College of Bemidji in 1949 and married Marlin “Bud” Stebe on March 3, 1950 in Bemidji. She worked for Bemidji Hospital where she was a receptionist and an insurance clerk for 45 years.
She is survived by her son, John (Marsha) Stebe of Bemidji, son-in-law David Floyd of Puposky; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, sisters Verna Chesser of Alachua, Florida, Violet Rindahl of Grand Marais, Minnesota, brothers Paul Hansey of Roseville, Minnesota, Milton (Sally) Hansey of Bemidji, Minnesota and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud, daughter Janice Floyd, brother Arnold Hansey, and sister Lila Parker.
