Linda Lou (Strowbridge) Weikel

Linda Weikel, 70, of Bemidji, MN died Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jones Township Cemetery, Solway.

Linda Lou Strowbridge was born September 2, 1947 in Bemidji to Eugene “Pete” and Faye (Lee) Strowbridge. She grew up in Bemidji, attended Bemidji Lab School and Bemidji High School. She married Charles Weikel September 7, 1965 in the Solway Log Chapel, Solway. They lived in Bemidji where she was a homemaker and raised her family. Later in life after her family was grown she worked for Bemidji School District in food service for 15 years. Linda enjoyed hunting, fishing, baking, cooking and taking care of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Weikel of Bemidji; daughters, Tammy Burgoon of Bemidji and Becky (Brent Katzenmeyer) Weikel of Bemidji; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (Judy) Strowbridge of Montana, Randy (Debbie) Strowbridge of Bemidji, Fred Strowbridge of Bagley and Jim (Jody) Strowbridge of Bemidji and sisters, Alice (Jim) Riley of Montana, Virginia Strowbridge of Montana, Annie Riley of Montana, Brenda Strowbridge of Bemidji, Judy Green of Bemidji and Jeanne Stay of Bemidji.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Faye Strowbridge; brothers, Ken Strowbridge, Larry Strowbridge, Bill Strowbridge and Johnny Strowbridge and sister, Lois Ward.
