Karren Olga (Sorenson) Clark

Karren Olga Clark, age 77, of Bemidji, MN, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Sanford Broadway Medical Center in Fargo, ND, with her family by her side.

The family will have a time of sharing on Thursday, July 11, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Olson Schwartz Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN.  The sharing will continue from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Friday, July 12, 2019, at the United Methodist Church of Bemidji, MN, with the memorial service to follow at 10:30 am.  Pastor Rob Kopp will officiate.

Karren Sorenson was born on February 5, 1942, in Bemidji, MN, the daughter of the late Clarence and Pauline (Lebak) Sorenson.  She grew up in Solway, MN, and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1960.  While she was in high school she did a work study program at Beltrami Electric and worked there until she retired in 2003 as a billing supervisor.  On September 5, 1964, she was married to Albert Clark and they made their home in Bemidji, MN, and raised 2 sons, Craig and Jim.  She was a lifelong resident of the greater Bemidji area and a member of the United Methodist Church for over 50 years.  In her free time she volunteered at the hospital for 15 years, gardened, and especially loved lady slippers.  Most of all though she loved her family dearly and will be sorely missed by them.

Karren is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Albert Clark of Bemidji, MN; sons, Craig (Mindy) Clark of Bemidji, MN, and Jim (Jerina) Clark of Plymouth, MN; grandchildren, Alex and Elena; and sister, Shirley (Jerry) Collett of St. Paul, MN’ as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Pauline Sorenson; and siblings, Donnie, Marvin, Pauline, Bill, Dale, Alice, and Neil.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the United Methodist Church in Bemidji, MN.
