In life, when you least expect it, a special person changes the way you view the world for the better. It’s not necessarily with one conversation or one incidence that something miraculous happens. It’s within the daily routines of life, during peaceful mornings drinking coffee, when you listen to the sounds of the loons calling, over the lake, as you sit together; the joyous dinners with friends who have grown to know each other over many decades. Within all the idiosyncrasies of day to day living is where you begin to understand the kind of love Jo Etta Loch created throughout the lives of everyone blessed enough to know her. She will be remembered by those who called her Sister, Aunt, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend as the first to see the good in everyone, above all else; and especially if she loved you. She gave all of herself to everyone she loved without question. That is probably one of the most beautiful, and at times heartbreaking, gifts someone of Jo’s caliber could give to the world. A love that knew no bounds. A love that was unbreakable and unmoved even in times of hardship. If she only knew how brave she truly was and how much she taught us; and if you only knew how much she would blush if you told her these truths. Humble, kind, beautiful, and strong. Jo Etta, you will be greatly missed, but forever treasured in our hearts. We are better for knowing you, and blessed because we were loved by you.
