Jerrold Finley, 81, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, December 3, 2018 at Havenwood Care Center, Bemidji.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jerrold Franklin Finley was born October 11, 1937 in Oroville, WA to Leonard and Ethel (Billups) Finley. He was raised on the Finley family orchard and graduated from Tonasket High School in 1955. He met and then married Sylvia Bundy on May 28, 1957. They resided in Washington where they raised their two children. Jerry worked as a florist, gardener, and hobby farmer but was best known as a Chef; working primarily at Taylor’s Landing in Mukilteo, WA. He retired in 2000 and they moved to Bemidji where he started a hobby farm where he worked in his garden and with his animals, especially Penelope, his donkey. Jerrold was a faith filled man participating in all facets of his faith community. In 2015, Jerrold and Sylvia moved into Havenwood Care Center, where he resided until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Finley of Bemidji; kids, Jeff (Joanne) Finley of Bemidji and Judy “Cricket” Walker of San Antonio, TX; 6 grandkids, Corbin, Misti, Michael, Alaina, Nicholas and Haley; 11 great-grandkids; siblings, Ronald (Joan) Finley of Oroville, WA. Lloyd (Georgia) Finley of Kennewick, WA, Muriel Bradley of Marysville, WA, Joanne (Tom) Wills of Lake Stevens, WA and Jonnie (Suzy) Finley of Camas, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy.
