Grace Lucille (Wright) Dehnel

Grace Lucille (Wright) Dehnel, 90 of Solway Minn, passed away Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at the GoldPine Home, Bemidji.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Solway Bible Chapel in Solway, MN. Family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the Solway Cemetery.

Urn bearers will be Troy Fredrickson, Ken Fredrickson, Kimberly Andree and Wayne Edwards. 

Grace Dehnel was born December 4, 1928 in Fern Township, Hubbard County to Lee and Esther Wright. She grew up in the Bemidji area and attended the Bemidji area schools. On December 31, 1952 she married Richard Dehnel in Rockford, Illinois.  She lived in the Solway area most of her life. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, embroidering, playing softball, working at the Senior Citizens Center, fishing, making krumkake and rosettes, gardening, farming (riding the 4-wheeler checking for gophers in the fields) and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter – Dianna (Dennis) Fredrickson – Solway, MN; Grandchildren – Troy (Cheryl) Fredrickson – Solway, MN; Ken (Rachel) Fredrickson – Thief River Falls, MN; Kimberly Andree – Shevlin, MN.  Great-grandchildren; Kelsi Fredrickson, Samuel & Wyatt Andree, Brooke, Rylie, Jake Fredrickson. Also survived by her sisters: Pearl Wagner (Bremerton, WA); June (John) Wallinger (St. Louis, MO); Lois (Don) Stratton (New Brighton, MN); Sharon Schipper (Bemidji, MN).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee & Esther Wright; sisters – LeEtta Wixson and Doris Edwards; brothers – David & Robert.

Memorials are preferred to Sanford Home Care & Hospice.
