Grace Mae (Godfrey) Daniels

Grace Mae Godfrey Daniels, 90, of Bemidji, died Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Havenwood Care Center, Bemidji.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bemidji.

Grace Mae Godfrey was born June 26, 1928 in Salem Township, Remer, MN to Maurice and Grace (Slater) Godfrey. She attended the Godfrey School her first two years, then going to Boy River School graduating from high school there in 1945. She married her neighbor and high school sweetheart Albert (Al or Brud) Daniels on May 4, 1946 upon his return home from serving in Europe in World War II. She was born and raised on a farm and after marriage farmed for 14 years before moving to Bemidji in 1960. She was Meter Maid for the City of Bemidji, did house cleaning for private homes and also worked for Control Data. She was blessed with three sons, Les, Ron and Bruce. She loved to cook and bake, crocheting and spending time with family and friends. She especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Bruce (JoAnne) Daniels; daughter-in-law Sue (Jeff) Loge; grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve) Larson, Jason (Amber) Daniels, Nicole (Corey) Flynn, Brandon (Megan) Daniels and Mariah Moen and great-grandchildren, Andrew Larson, Nathan Larson, Jared Daniels, Evan Daniels, Cameron Flynn, Mason Flynn, Amelia Daniels and Haddie Daniels.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Al in 1977; sons, Les and Ron; brothers, Jim, Raymond, George and Gene and sisters, Evelyn and Maude.
