Erica Renae (Locke) Lovold

Erica Lovold, 44, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, September 7, 2019 unexpectedly at her home.

Funeral Services 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Bemidji.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Services have been entrusted to Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bemidji.

Erica Renae Locke was born March 15, 1975 to Ronald & Kathy (Tolman) Locke in Bemidji.  At the age of 6, her family moved to Anchorage, Alaska and would return to Bemidji in 1989.  She graduated from Bemidji High School in 1994 and then went on to attend Northwest Technical College for the next two years.  Erica joined North Country Regional Hospital’s Radiology Department as a transcriptionist eventually working for Sanford Health.  Erica was an avid deer hunter and also took tremendous pleasure in spending time with her family and friends at her camping sight on Gull Lake.  She was also a Minnesota Vikings fan.  Erica’s most cherished time was spent with her daughters, loving husband and extended family.  Following her daughters in their hockey careers was another one of her passions-some of the most precious times ever.  She was also an excellent cook and baker, spoiling each and every one of her family members with their special treats.

Erica is survived by her husband, Jason Lovold; daughters, Sadie & Molly Defatte and Marae Locke; son, Ryan Lovold; mother, Kathy Locke; father, Ronald (Mary Jo) Locke; brother, Bucky Locke; sisters, Suzanne Locke and Renea (Danny) Scott; grandmother, Beverly Tolman.  She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ronald Lovold; grandparents, Archie Tolman, Harvey & Helen Shuhart, Albert “Lefty” Locke; her Godchild & niece, Jayden Lovold; the father of Sadie, Molly and Marae, Jason Defatte; and her Aunt Judy Pittman and infant cousin, Robbie.
