Delbert Henry Fenner

Delbert Fenner, 88, of Bemidji, MN, surrounded by family, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Colleen's Caring Hands, Bemidji. 

 Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating. A Time of Sharing will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Nary Cemetery.

 Delbert Henry Fenner was born December 19, 1928 in Fairmont, MN to Alvin and Elsie (Kirchgatter) Fenner. He began farming at the age of 12 in Fairmont, MN. After serving in the Army in WW2, he moved his young family to Nary, MN where he continued to farm in Nary and Guthrie until retiring at age 85.

 He is survived by sons, Kieth (Patti) Fenner of Bemidji, Kevin (Rita) Fenner of Bemidji and Douglas (Jeanie) Fenner of Bemidji; daughters, Debra Fenner of San Antonio, TX and Yvonne (Al Christie) Fenner of Sacramento, CA; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; step-sons, Brian (Shirley) Helberg of Osakis, Robert (Janet) Helberg of Arizona and Jack Helberg of Bemidji and step-daughter, Debbie (Pete) Williams of Arizona.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Elsie Fenner; 2 wives, LaVonne Fenner and Donna Fenner; son, John Fenner and brother, Lowell Fenner.

 In lieu of flowers, family prefers memorials to Colleen’s Caring Hands.
