Christopher "Chris" Ryan Bauer

Christopher Ryan Bauer, 38, died unexpectedly August 9, 2019 due to a tragic car accident. 

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2019 at the Blackduck High School (main gymnasium) with Pastor Anne Meredith officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the school. Inurnment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackduck. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bemidji.

He was born September 28, 1980 in Bemidji, MN the son of Randy Bauer and Tina Polchlopek.

Chris graduated from Blackduck High School, class of 1999. After graduating he learned the trade of a drywall taper while living in Pittsburg, Kansas.  Chris then moved back to MN where he worked as a taper until his passing.  He also worked in the oil fields near Watford City, ND. While in North Dakota Chris met Billie Namanny. Together they have a wonderful little boy, Parker Bauer. Parker was the light of Chris’ life.  Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid softball player.

Chris was a big hearted and caring person. He was a jokester and knew how to have a good time with whoever he was with.  He was a caring father, son, brother and uncle.  He had so many people in his life that truly enjoyed his carefree way.

Chris is survived by his son Parker Bauer, father, Randy (Teri) Bauer, mother Tina (Jay) Whetstone, sisters, Rachel (Scott) Larson and Michelle Bauer, brothers, Shaun (Lauren) Bauer, Tony (Hannah Bratt) Bauer and Corey Bauer, half-sister Dawn Stahl (Matt Borenpohl). grandmother Patricia Bauer, nieces Ella Larson, Audrey and Paisley Bauer, nephews Garrett Larson, Aiden Bauer, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Clinton Bauer, grandfathers, Victor Sinkovic and Rudy Polchlopek, grandmother, Juanita Sinkovic, uncle, Rudy Polchlopek and Aunt Sharon Friend.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials.
