Beverly Jane Burnham passed away unexpectedly at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center on Monday, December 30, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2020 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Corey Fuhrman officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Beverly was born July 14, 1937 in Lake City, IA to Wendell and Addie Gregg. She was the 2nd of 8 children. The family moved to Bemidji in 1946 and she graduated from Bemidji High School in 1955. Elvin and Beverly were married on October 22, 1955 and lived in Oklahoma, North Carolina and Virginia, MN before returning to Bemidji where they ran the Burger House together. A few years later, they took over Gregg’s Plumbing and Heating where Bev did the bookkeeping for many years. Bev enjoyed bowling, dressing up for Halloween, traveling with her friends and family, and once she became a grandmother she was very involved in the lives of her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Bev loved to sing, she was a member of First City Singers which kept her very busy singing at nursing homes throughout the area and was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Bev is survived by her husband of 64 years, Elvin; children, Vicki (Rick) Roff, David Burnham and Tamara (Billy) Hazell; grandchildren, Eric (Jess) Roff, Matthew (Johanna) Roff, Stephanie (Tyler) Schurman, Emily Roff, Bill Hanks, Natasha Lewis, Breanna Lewis, Cole Lewis and A.J. Lewis; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Brooklyn, Easton, Oliver, Breyden, Chloe and Allie and siblings, Linda Ness, Richard Gregg, Jerry (Carolyn) Gregg and Wendell (Pat) Gregg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert; daughter-in-law, Bonnie and siblings Barbara, Darryl and Sandra.
