Edith (Betty) Faver, 71, died at home in Bemidji on April 1, 2019, following a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Naylor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.
Betty was born on August 23, 1947 in Bemidji to Orville and Dorothy Rundell. She graduated from Bemidji High School in 1966, and received her teaching degree from Bemidji State in 1974. Betty taught art in the Grygla schools until her marriage to Tim Faver on July 30, 1977. They moved to St. Paul and then Thief River Falls before settling back in Bemidji in 1983.
Betty was a dedicated caregiver for her husband’s grandmother, her mother, and her own two children. She devoted her time volunteering at her children’s schools, along with attending all their extra-curricular activities. Betty spent her free time sewing, crafting, and baking, but the best thing she loved to do was to spend time with her family.
Betty is survived by her husband, her two children, Sara (Jeremy) Miller, Mora, MN, and Patrick of Bemidji, and her grandson, Finley Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Parkinson’s Foundation Minnesota.
