Betty Anderson, 66, of Bemidji, MN died November 28, 2019 at her home.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Bemidji.
Betty Johnson was born August 7, 1953 in Forest City, IA to Bert & Janice Johnson. The family moved to the Nary, MN area in 1959. Betty graduated from Bemidji High School in 1971 and a few years later would marry her high school sweetheart, James Anderson on January 12, 1974. They lived in Hawaii while James was in the military. They came back to Bemidji, built a home and Betty taught private piano lessons for many years. Betty worked for KMS Fabrics, The Melody Shop and the Bemidji Woolen Mills. Betty was a very creative seamstress, her family, friends and customers always appreciated wearing her garments. She enjoyed making wedding dresses, costumes, barbie doll dresses and anything special for her loved ones. She was an accomplished pianist, she played for many years at St. Philips Catholic Church. Betty always loved camping and sitting around a warm bonfire. Sewing for her grandchildren was her greatest joy.
Betty is survived by her sons, Jon Anderson and Ben (Ashley) Anderson; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Anna & Elizabeth Anderson; sister, Nancy (Larry) Cole. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dale & Dean.
