Rebecca Jean (Doyle) Miller

Rebecca Jean Miller, 73, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota died Friday, April 12, 2024 at her home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2024, at Aardahl Lutheran Church, Bemidji, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.

Rebecca Jean Miller was born in Bagley, MN on September 2, 1950, to Walter and Marion Doyle. The family moved to Bemidji when Becky was a baby. She attended Lincoln Elementary School, Bemidji Junior High, and Bemidji High School, graduating in 1968. After graduation, she worked for Bemidji schools in the high school office. At the age of nineteen, Becky and a friend vacationed in Germany, very far for two young gals in the late 1960s. Becky moved to the Twin Cities in 1973 and worked for First National Bank. She met her husband, Darrel Miller and they were married in1986. She and Darrel had two children, Jayson, and Cari.  In 1988, they moved to Bemidji and purchased Millers North Country on Big Wolf Lake. In addition to owning the resort and raising a family, Becky worked for Beltrami County. They later sold the resort, but she continued to work for the county until her retirement when her first grandchild was born in April 2013. Her second grandchild arrived in December of 2016. Becky struggled with diabetes since 1988. She underwent a kidney removal in the fall of 2023 and was currently on dialysis treatment. Darrel passed away in January of 2017 and in 2019 she moved to Grand Rapids MN to be closer to her daughter, son in law and adored grandsons. She enjoyed following Cari and Jayson, during hockey and then her two grandsons, Avery and Axton in their current hockey activities. She loved family and was so proud of and loved Avery and Axton. She also was an avid Minnesota Wild fan, enjoyed traveling and taking cruises. Becky was President of Bemidji Eagles in 2021-2022. She enjoyed volunteering at the Eagles as much as she could.

Becky is survived by children, Jayson, and Cari (John Troumbly); grandsons, Avery and Axton; sisters, Sherry (Dale Hadrava) and Lynette Rathe; In-laws, Gerry, Jerry, Evie, Mike, Kathy (Jim) and Rod; several nephews and her granddogs Trigger, Tikka, and Petty. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Walter and Marion Doyle; infant sister, Roxanne, brother-in laws, Ken Rathe and Lyle Rindahl; sister-in law, Val Miller and a nephew, Christian Rindahl
