Wayne Lee Steiner

Wayne Lee Steiner, 88, of Laporte, MN went to be with his Lord on January 7, 2018.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.  Arrangements were entrusted with the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Wayne was born January 19, 1929 in Bloomington, IL to parents, Harry and Zella (Howell) Steiner. He spent 2 years in the United States Navy and married his first wife, Patricia Ann Reed. Together they had 3 daughters and one son. Wayne and Patricia’s marriage ended in divorce in 1966. On July 20, 1968, Wayne married Marion Jesstine Battles in Bloomington, MN. Together they had one daughter. Wayne moved to Laporte from Orlando, FL in 2008. He enjoyed his later years with his dog, Fuzzy, his cat, mowing his lawn and watching all of his daughter’s horses running in the pasture.

He is survived by daughters, Deborah (Brad) Douglas of Mackinaw, IL, Teresa Steiner of Waterville, MN, Rebecca (Pat) Whelan of Laporte, MN and Jeanne (Shawn) Campbell of Lincolnton, NC; step-sons, John (Debbie) Easley of Lakeland, FL and Jessie (Chris) Easley of Flower Mound, TX; 9 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Zella Steiner; wife, Marion Steiner; infant son, Wayne Steiner Jr.; sisters, Lois (Bob) Clerique, Ellen (Howard) Riggs and Carole (Leon) Alden.
