Rodney Allen Lofthus

Rodney Lofthus, 71, of Bemidji, MN died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Trinity Free Lutheran Church of Pony Lake with Pastor Kevin Larson and Pastor Bill Goodman officiating.  A time of sharing will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home.  Family will also greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.

Rodney Allen Lofthus was born September 3, 1946 in Bagley, MN to Anton and Hulda (Sather) Lofthus.  Rodney graduated from Bagley High School in 1964. He married the love of his life Roxanne (Whelan) Stevens in 2004.  He retired from the Clearwater County Memorial Hospital after 28 years of service. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Bagley, MN and Trinity Free Lutheran Church of Pony Lake, North Country Snowmobile Club, Minnesota Deer Hunters Association and the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers. 

He is survived by his loving & devoted wife, Roxanne Lofthus of Bemidji, MN; daughters; Laurie Watkins of Boulder, CO, Tami (Jeff) Nielsen of Thornton, CO, Christy Lofthus of Leonard, MN and Erica Stevens of Bemidji, MN; son; Shawn Stevens of Bemidji, MN;

grandchildren, Jordan, Brooke, Brendan, Andre, Isabella, Jenna and Kyle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harlan Lofthus.
