Norma Angeline Timmons

Norma Timmons, 90, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her home.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Martin officiating.  Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Norma Angeline Kemble was born May 22, 1927, Mishawaka, IN to Rev. Gordon and Ruth (Waterman) Kemble. On August 6, 1949 she married Rupert Timmons in Oak Park, IL. They lived in northern Illinois where Rupert worked.  At retirement they moved to Paris, TN where they lived for 20 years. In 1995, they moved to Bemidji to be nearer to family. While Norma was raising their children, she was active in her church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, worked with Women Ministries, sang in the choir and rang with the hand bell choir.  Norma had quite a green thumb, especially when it came to African violets.  She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and following her grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky (Mike) Koehnen of Bemidji, Carol (Brian) Erickson of N. St. Paul and Christy (Tom) Trimmer of Washington Court House, OH; sons, Donald (Joy) Timmons of League City, TX, Gregory Timmons of Glendale, CA and Brian (Nancy) Timmons of Woodinville, WA; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and sister, Jeane (Ken) Robinson Anderson of Pleasanton, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rupert Timmons; infant granddaughter; one brother and 3 sisters.
