Lauren Elizabeth Lund

Lauren Lund, age 23, of Bemidji, MN, died Saturday, December 16, 2017 in an accident on Grace Lake near Bemidji.

Lauren Elizabeth Lund was born February 21, 1994 in Bemidji, MN to John & Mary Lund.  She grew up in Bemidji and graduated from Bemidji High School in 2012.  Lauren attended St. Catherine University in St. Paul.  While there, Lauren’s studies brought her to both Italy and India.  She graduated with a bachelor’s degree and was currently working for “In Harvest”.  Lauren’s passion and love of life was invigorating.  She loved the Lord and served Him every moment she had, sharing her time, notes and coffee with family and friends.  Her humble, gentle spirit and smile captured your heart immediately.  Lauren’s life was all about serving others.  She loved learning languages, cooking, photography, dancing, quilting and most recently fishing with Ethan.  Lauren embraced adventure and travel whenever she could.

She is survived by her parents, John and Mary Lund of Bemidji; sisters, Rachael (Jay “Sanjiv”) Lamsal, Maple Grove and Rebecca (Geofrey) Kalanzi, Eden Prairie; nephews, Remington & Charlton; niece, Zipporah; special friend, Ethan Oftedahl and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship in Lauren’s memory will be created and donations can also be given to the Gideon’s or Wycliffe Bible Translators.
