Cynthia “Cindy” Kimber, 66, of Bemidji, MN died Friday, May 05, 2017 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Rehborg officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Cynthia Kay James was born February 14, 1951 in Sioux, Falls, SD to Wilbur and Margaret (Lauren) James. Cindy graduated from high school in Brewster, MN. She worked as a nurses aid because she loved helping people. Cindy worked as a waitress for many years in many places touching many lives. She owned and operated a craft shop at Home on America. Cindy worked at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center in housekeeping. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with her kids and especially her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, George Kimber of Bemidji; daughter, Sandy (Allen) Hardy of Bemidji; son, Mike (Becky Mellum) Brandborg of Bemidji; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother Jon James of Minneapolis and sister Julie (Brian) Hogan of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Margaret James and sisters, Suzanne Pollard and Sally James.
