Chelsea Ari Anita Susanna BatchelderAugust 27, 1990 ~ June 30, 2017 (age 26)
Chelsea Ari Anita Susanna Batchelder was born in Minneapolis, MN to Laura (Carpenter) Ware and Ira Batchelder on August 27, 1990. Sadly, she passed away on June 30, 2017. Chelsea had a sweet, creative, and adventurous spirit with a certain innocence about her. She attended Trek North in Bemidji and then Bemidji State University, and had traveled to Spain and Italy and also hiked the Appalachian Trail. Chelsea aspired to become a lawyer in order to fight for the “underdog.”
Chelsea is survived by her father, Ira (Sandy Henson) Batchelder, her loving daughter, Cecilia, brother, Jesse Ware, step-siblings Ricardo (Julie) and Tonya (Dustin), and her paternal grandparents, Shirley and Ira “Batch”. She is also survived by her special aunt Suzanne Loftus, special “grandma” Penny (Arnie) Olson, and other aunts and uncles Leah (Dave Jansen) Carpenter, Michael (Jennifer) Garbow, Wanda (Mark) Dickinson, Bill, Bob, Margaret, and Kati Batchelder. Chelsea is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, a large extended family and her special friend, Ricky Wittner.
Chelsea now rests in peace with her mother, her maternal aunt Connie, and her maternal grandparents, Thelma (Nason) Carpenter and Lawrence (Pat) Carpenter.
One of her greatest joys was Cecilia, her daughter, whom she was very proud of and loved with all her heart. Although Chelsea lost her way, she loved the beauty of life, her family, and her friends, and she always saw the goodness in people. Chelsea will be greatly missed by her immediate and extended family and friends especially for her smile, love and compassion, humor, beauty, intellect and her depth of being. There is an unknown time when we will be reunited in our next life so we can smile together again.
