Brett Robert Nordheim

Brett Nordheim went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.  Brett was born in Bemidji, MN on May 28, 1951 to Ed and Betty Nordheim, now both deceased.  He graduated from Bemidji High School in 1969.  He married Nancy Christianson on April 22, 1972.   Brett and Nancy resided in Kelly Lake and then Hibbing and had two children, Tanya (LaRanget’) and Yvonne (Rusco).  During his working life, Brett worked at Range Cornice Roofing Company and Jamar as a Union Sheet Metal worker. 

Brett was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather and was known to them as ‘Papa’.  He is survived by his former spouse, Nancy, his daughters, son-in-laws and his grandchildren; Tanya and Tony LaRanget’ and their children Heather, Amber and Solomon; and Yvonne and Rubin Rusco and children Samuel and his fiance’ Neriah Adams and Faith.  He is also survived by his siblings; Beth Nordheim-Baker (Ken), Brian Nordheim and his daughter Jordan (Ryan) Marr and Pam Nordheim-Huschle (Mike).  He had many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and his beloved Baby Bear. 

Brett’s great faith in God and his relationship with Jesus was an inspiration to all who knew him.  He loved to travel whenever he was able and enjoyed life to the fullest.  Even though Brett didn’t have typical retirement hobbies like fishing or golfing he will be remembered for his love of riding his Harley.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and his Chihuahua Baby Bear.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery where he will be buried with his parents.
