Barbara Ann Klasen, age 79 of Cass Lake, Mn died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at her home.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Barbara Ann Hickerson was born May 28, 1937 to Roy & Pauline (Engelstad) Hickerson. She grew up in Bemidji and attended Lincoln Elementary and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1956. She married Roy Klasen on June 23, 1956. They had four children together. She enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with her family. She worked at Woolworths, District 31, Vo-Tech, St. Joseph’s Home Care in Park Rapids & Homefront in Bemidji.
She is survived by her children; Trudy (Gordon) Long, Kelly Roy Klasen, DeAnn Ysen and Mary Ann (Eugene Wass) Klasen; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews; 4 sister-in-laws, Lucille Wright, Darlene (Rollie) Bitzer, Shirley Hickerson & Pat Klasen; 1 brother-in-law, LeRoy Klasen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Pauline Hickerson, her husband, Roy Klasen,
Mother and Father-in-law, Clara and Herb Klasen, sister, Margaret (Muggs) Melhus, 2 brothers, Glen and Donald Hickerson; 2 brother-in-laws, Herbie Klasen and Harold Melhus; 2 sister-in-laws, Mary Hickerson and Janet Klasen.
