Welcome to the memorial page for

Angie Dorothy (Roerick) Beaulieu

November 1, 1938 ~ October 8, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years Old

There is an appointed time for everything, a time for every affair under the heavens.

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

This verse is appropriate for our Mom, Grandma, Aunt and Friend as she was born and died during her favorite season.  Angeline “Angie” Dorothy Beaulieu, 78, of Bemidji, MN passed away at her home October 8, 2017.

Angie was born the 7th out of 12 children on November 1, 1938, in Pierce County, ND to Michael and Dorothy (Hager) Roerick. She grew up with a hard working German family on the family farm near Tolna, ND.  She graduated from Tolna High School. She married Con Beaulieu November 29, 1958.  Together they moved around the United States and settled in Bemidji, MN and raised 5 children. Mom always had a “cooked from scratch” meal prepared and shared her talents with organizations including Frohn Willing Workers 4-H Club, East Bemidji Homemaker's Club, and the St. Philip's Parish. Along with her husband, Con, they started Con's Masonry, Inc. She was the constant figure at Con's office for many years. Mom enjoyed tending her gardens and maintaining her property.  She felt best being outdoors. We would often find her at the bonfire pit, out riding her Ranger on the country roads or enjoying a nice day on her deck. Spending time with her family and many friends brought her much joy.  Whether it be traveling, camping, pontooning, being with her team of Belgian horses on one of the hundreds of sleigh or wagon rides through the wooded trails, as well as spending winters in Florida.

Mom supported her children and grandchildren's sporting and extra circular activities with great pride. She followed the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Wild and BSU Beaver Hockey.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents and 5 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children Deb (Tom) Garrison of Bemidji and Lyn (Barry) Bian of Cedarburg Wisconsin; three sons Jeff Beaulieu, Mark (Mya) Beaulieu, and Tim “Spud” Beaulieu, all of Bemidji.  Her legacy will continue with her 8 grandchildren:  Michael (Jessica) Rasmussen, Jack Rasmussen, Breanne (Ryan) Marsel, Connor Bian, Barrett Bian, McKayla Beaulieu, Brock Beaulieu and Alex Beaulieu.   Brothers and sisters Martina Franzen, Flossie Roerick, Eugene Roerick, Adam Roerick, Ambrose (Sandra) Roerick, Jenny (Lorraine) Vrem, Diane (Dewayne) Piker and many nieces and nephews.  Also, her loyal companion Niijii (Neegee).

Visitation will be held at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, MN on Friday, October 13, 2017, from 4-6 pm followed by a rosary service beginning at 6 pm with Father Jerry Rogers.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 1:30 pm at St. Philips Catholic Church, Bemidji, MN with Father Chuck Huck officiating.   One hour prior to church service a second visitation will be held.  Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Bemidji, MN.  Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Philips Catholic Church.

We thank God for the gift of her life.   Blessed be her memory.
